Just saw a press release from some new wakeboard company.

Looks like we have a new company boasting of greatness and a brighter tomorrow.

They have chosen some rather coincidental tag lines.  Ride locally and think globally, and built to a higher standard.  Well we can't speak for Master Craft but we fell honored and privileged that you have taken a liking to one of our tag lines and seemed to be adopting it.

We are going to go out on a limb and say CTRL doesn't stand for Creative Thoughts Reproduced Literature. 

Working Out Helps Your Riding

So far this off season, I have spent a lot of time in the gym lifting weights and running. I have actually probably spent more time working out than actually time on the water. Part of that goes back to me being a wuss with cold water :), but more than that I feel like it benefits me so much to be in great shape and strong before I head out into the flats. 

  Working out and being strong can prevent so many injuries that occur in wakeboarding (back, shoulder, and knee injuries) and these injuries can happen even to the novice rider.  Be prepared, there is still time before summer gets here to start lifting weights, doing lunges, and getting those abs rock solid.

Alliance Magazine Gear Guide....

We were just checking out the gear guide issue that just came to our door step.  The One ATR edition and the Phoenix Project spanked it.  They had 4 judges and each one of them voted on their favorite cable board and boat board.  None of the 4 judges normally ride Ronix, but after they had a chance to ride new models from every manufacturer out there 3 of the 4 judges picked Ronix as their favorite boat board, and 2 of the 4 judges picked us as their favorite cable board.  As long as we are bregging about our new stored energy Phoenix and our lightweight snappy new ATR construction we got 7 total votes (which was more than any other company).  If you call us at 1888 RONIX CO and we don't answer it's because we are busy patting ourselves on the back right now. 

Riding in the COLD

Brrr! I have officially become a wimp. That is what I have decided. Originally from Colorado, I should be able to endure the winter in Florida and be on the water no matter the temperature, but it is official I can't handle these 40 degree days and water in the 50's. I don't like it. Please come soon summer. I want to ride without freezing.
  I know for some of you in the snow you would love to have no ice on your lake, and would be loving some water in the 50's, so sorry if I sound like I am whining a bit :)

  Anyway,  here is to a happy and warm 2011!
